1. About Wari
Wari is an independent, non-commercial digital guide designed to help people discover sacred places, spiritual traditions, saints, stories, and experiences connected to India.
Wari is currently operated as a personal product experiment and is provided free of charge during this MVP and testing phase.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Wari website and its features.
By accessing or using Wari, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use Wari.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data, and our Cookies & Local Storage policy explains how cookies and browser storage are used.
2. Experimental and non-commercial service
Wari is currently provided as an experimental, non-commercial service.
During this MVP phase:
- Wari is free to use;
- Wari does not offer paid subscriptions;
- Wari does not sell products or services;
- Wari does not currently accept donations;
- Wari does not display advertising;
- Wari does not provide paid spiritual, religious, travel, or professional advice.
Wari may evolve, change, or discontinue features as the product is tested and developed.
These Terms may therefore evolve as Wari develops.
3. Eligibility and age requirement
Wari is intended for users aged 16 and over.
By using Wari, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old.
If you are under 16, you may use Wari only with the consent and involvement of a parent or legal guardian who has the authority to provide that consent.
Wari does not knowingly seek to provide account-based services to children under the age of 16.
If we become aware that a user under 16 has created an account without the required parental involvement, we may take appropriate steps, including deleting the account and associated personal data.
Nothing in this section affects any mandatory rights or protections that may apply to minors under the law applicable to them.
4. Your Wari account
Some Wari features require you to create an account.
When creating or using an account, you agree to:
- provide information that is accurate and up to date;
- keep your account credentials and authentication methods secure;
- not knowingly allow another person to use your account;
- notify Wari if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
Authentication may currently be provided through Google or through a passwordless email Magic Link.
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account, except where that activity results from unauthorized access that is not attributable to you.
You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting privacy@wari.me.
Account deletion is subject to the provisions described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable use
You may use Wari only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
You must not use Wari to:
- violate applicable laws or regulations;
- interfere with the operation or security of Wari;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to Wari or its infrastructure;
- probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of Wari systems without authorization;
- introduce malicious code, malware, or other harmful material;
- scrape, crawl, or systematically extract Wari content in a manner that places an unreasonable burden on the service;
- circumvent technical restrictions or access controls;
- impersonate Wari, its creators, or another person;
- use Wari to harass, threaten, defame, or unlawfully harm others;
- use Wari content to create a competing service where doing so infringes applicable intellectual property rights.
Wari may take reasonable measures to protect the service and its users against abusive, fraudulent, or harmful activity.
6. Wari content
Wari contains editorial and informational content relating to sacred places, temples, saints, spiritual traditions, experiences, historical contexts, stories, practices, and other subjects connected to the spiritual and cultural heritage of India.
This content is provided for discovery and informational purposes.
Wari aims to present information carefully and respectfully, but spiritual traditions and cultural practices may differ between communities, regions, lineages, sources, and individual interpretations.
The presence of a place, person, tradition, teaching, practice, or interpretation on Wari does not mean that Wari endorses it as the sole or authoritative interpretation.
7. Accuracy and changes to information
Wari makes reasonable efforts to provide useful and accurate information.
However, information presented through Wari may change over time or may differ between sources.
This may include, for example:
- opening hours;
- access conditions;
- entrance requirements;
- rituals or practices;
- festivals and events;
- local customs;
- travel information;
- historical interpretations;
- descriptions of spiritual traditions;
- information relating to temples, saints, or sacred places.
Wari does not guarantee that all information will always be complete, current, accurate, or error-free.
Information about a sacred place should therefore be verified with the relevant local authority, temple, organization, or community when up-to-date information is important to your visit.
8. Spiritual and religious disclaimer
Wari is a discovery and information platform.
Wari does not claim to be a religious authority, spiritual institution, temple authority, guru, lineage representative, or official representative of any spiritual tradition, saint, temple, or religious organization unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Content published on Wari does not constitute:
- religious authority;
- spiritual direction;
- religious instruction;
- medical advice;
- psychological advice;
- legal advice;
- financial advice;
- professional travel advice.
Wari does not determine or guarantee the spiritual significance, authenticity, religious status, or personal value of any place, person, tradition, teaching, or experience.
Users remain responsible for their own beliefs, decisions, practices, and conduct.
9. Visiting sacred places
Wari may provide information intended to help you discover and visit sacred places.
Any visit is undertaken at your own responsibility.
Conditions at a location may change without notice. Users should independently verify relevant information before travelling, particularly information concerning:
- opening hours;
- entrance requirements;
- dress requirements;
- photography restrictions;
- accessibility;
- local customs;
- safety;
- transportation;
- weather or environmental conditions.
Wari does not guarantee access to any temple, ashram, sacred site, event, or other location presented through the service.
The inclusion of a place on Wari does not imply that Wari has a formal relationship with that place or its operators.
10. Third-party content and services
Wari may contain or refer to information, images, links, names, quotations, traditions, historical material, or other content originating from third parties.
Where appropriate, Wari seeks to identify and credit relevant sources and rights holders.
Third-party content remains subject to the rights of its respective owners.
Wari may also link to third-party websites or services, including mapping and authentication services.
Wari does not control and is not responsible for the content, availability, policies, or practices of third-party websites or services.
Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
11. Intellectual property
The Wari name, logo, visual identity, interface, original editorial content, original texts, original illustrations, software, design elements, and other materials created for Wari are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Except where otherwise indicated, these materials belong to Wari or are used by Wari under an appropriate license or authorization.
Subject to these Terms, Wari grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use Wari for your personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publicly display, commercially exploit, or create derivative works from Wari's protected content except where:
- expressly permitted by Wari;
- permitted by applicable law; or
- the relevant content is subject to a license that allows such use.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Wari's intellectual property to you.
12. Third-party intellectual property and content reports
Wari respects the intellectual property and cultural rights of third parties.
If you believe that content presented on Wari:
- infringes your intellectual property rights;
- has been published without appropriate attribution;
- contains a significant factual error;
- misrepresents a person, tradition, spiritual community, or sacred place; or
- should otherwise be reviewed or removed for a legitimate reason,

- where relevant, information establishing your rights or authority to make the request.
Wari will review legitimate requests and may, where appropriate, correct, update, attribute, restrict access to, or remove the relevant content.
Nothing in this section limits any rights or remedies available under applicable law.
13. User submissions
The current MVP does not provide features allowing users to publicly publish, edit, or contribute content to Wari.
If Wari introduces user-generated content or community contributions in the future, these Terms will be updated before such functionality is introduced.
Any future contribution features may be subject to additional rules concerning content ownership, licenses, moderation, attribution, and removal.
14. Availability and changes to Wari
Wari is provided on an evolving and experimental basis.
We may:
- modify or redesign features;
- add or remove content;
- suspend individual features;
- change technical infrastructure;
- temporarily suspend access for maintenance or security reasons;
- discontinue the service or part of it.
We will make reasonable efforts to maintain the availability of Wari, but we do not guarantee that Wari will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
15. Account suspension and termination
Wari may suspend or terminate access to an account where reasonably necessary to:
- prevent abuse;
- protect Wari or its users;
- investigate security incidents;
- comply with applicable law;
- enforce these Terms.
Where appropriate and reasonably possible, Wari will provide notice before taking such action.
You may stop using Wari at any time.
You may also request deletion of your account by contacting privacy@wari.me.
Termination or deletion of an account does not affect rights or obligations that, by their nature, should continue after termination, including intellectual property provisions and applicable legal obligations.
16. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Wari is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
Wari does not guarantee that:
- the service will always be available;
- the service will be uninterrupted or error-free;
- information will always be complete or current;
- information about a particular sacred place will remain accurate;
- a particular location, event, practice, or experience will be available as described;
- third-party services or external links will remain available.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty, right, or protection that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
17. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Wari shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or unforeseeable losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.
This includes, where legally permitted, losses resulting from:
- reliance on information presented through Wari;
- changes to opening hours or access conditions;
- inability to access a sacred place;
- changes to local practices or events;
- third-party services;
- external websites;
- interruption or unavailability of Wari.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law, including liability that cannot legally be excluded for personal injury, fraud, gross negligence, or other protected rights.
18. No waiver of mandatory rights
Nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive you of rights or protections that apply to you under mandatory provisions of the law applicable to your situation.
Where a provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.
19. Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law, subject to any mandatory provisions of the law that may apply to you.
If you are a consumer residing in another country, you may benefit from mandatory protections granted to you by the laws of your country of residence where applicable.
20. Dispute resolution and jurisdiction
If you have a dispute concerning Wari, we encourage you to contact us first at:
We will seek to resolve the matter amicably where possible.
Subject to mandatory rules applicable to consumers and other protected persons, disputes relating to these Terms or your use of Wari shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent French courts.
Nothing in this section prevents you from bringing proceedings before a court that has mandatory jurisdiction under applicable law.
21. Changes to these Terms
Wari may update these Terms when the service evolves, new features are introduced, or applicable legal requirements change.
When changes are made, the Last updated date at the top of this page will be updated.
For significant changes, Wari may provide additional notice where appropriate.
Your continued use of Wari after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
If you do not agree with the revised Terms, you should stop using Wari.
